How to swap USDT or USDC for U9, and how to swap U9 back.

How Do I Swap and Redeem U9?

You can use the Swap feature in the Abelian app to swap USDT or USDC for U9 at 1:1, or swap U9 back to USDT or USDC.

Currency Supported networks Rate
USDT TRC20, BEP20, ERC20 1 USDT = 1 U9
USDC ERC20, BEP20 1 USDC = 1 U9
  • Swapping to U9: There is no trading fee to swap USDT or USDC for U9.
  • Swapping U9 back to USDT or USDC (redemption): A 0.3% trading fee applies. You can choose the coin and network you want to receive, such as USDT-BSC.
  • Gas fee: Each swap is a transaction on the Abelian chain, which costs a fixed 0.02 ABEL in gas. If you turn on Pay gas with USDT, the gas is paid in USDT instead, and the exact amount is shown on the confirmation page.

Network names: In the app, each coin and network appears as one option, while exchanges usually show only the network name. Use this table to match them:

Network shown on exchanges Option shown in the Abelian app
TRC20 (TRON) USDT-TRC20
BEP20 (BSC) USDT-BSC, USDC-BSC
ERC20 (Ethereum) USDT-ERC20, USDC-ERC20

How Do I Swap USDT or USDC for U9?

Step 1: Transfer USDT or USDC into your app wallet

  1. On the Abelian app home page, go to Other Assets.
  2. Tap Receive and choose the coin and network you want to transfer in, for example USDT-TRC20.
  3. Copy the receiving address, then send the funds to it from your exchange or another wallet.

Please note: The coin and network you choose on the sending platform must exactly match the coin and network shown in the Abelian app. If you choose the wrong network, your funds may not arrive.

Step 2: Swap to U9

  1. On the Abelian app home page, tap Swap to open the trading page.
  2. In the Pay field, choose the USDT or USDC you hold. Each coin and network appears as one option, such as USDT-TRC20, USDT-BSC, or USDT-ERC20. Choose the one that matches the funds you transferred in.
  3. Enter the amount, or tap Max. The app calculates how much U9 you will receive at 1 USDT = 1 U9 or 1 USDC = 1 U9.
  4. Check the amount you pay, the U9 you will receive, the trading fee, and the gas fee.
  5. When everything is correct, tap Buy U9 to complete the trade.
  6. Once the U9 arrives, you can see it in your wallet and use it to top up your U9 Visa Card or for other U9 services.
Note:
  • If you turn on Pay gas with USDT, the gas fee is paid in USDT.
  • If you see "The amount plus gas fee exceeds your available balance", lower the amount a little so there is enough left for the gas fee.
  • For current promotions, see Notifications in the app or our official announcements.

How Do I Swap U9 Back to USDT or USDC?

Only the U9 in your wallet can be redeemed. If your U9 is on your U9 Visa Card, withdraw the U9 Visa Card balance to your wallet first, then redeem.

Step 1: Withdraw your U9 Visa Card balance to your wallet

On the Card page, choose your U9 Visa Card, open Card details, and tap Withdraw to move your U9 back to your wallet. For details, see the Top Up, Withdraw, and Mobile Wallets page.

Step 2: Swap to USDT or USDC

  1. On the app home page, tap Swap to open the trading page, and select U9 at the top.
  2. Tap the switch button (⇅) in the middle so that U9 is in the Pay field.
  3. In the Receive field, choose the coin and network you want to receive, for example USDT-BSC or USDC-ERC20.
  4. Enter the amount and check the 0.3% trading fee, the gas fee, and the amount you will receive.
  5. Submit the trade. Once the swap is complete, the USDT or USDC goes into your wallet on the coin and network you chose.

Note: Before you submit, check the coin, network, trading fee, and amount you will receive. A trade usually cannot be reversed once submitted.

How Long Does a Swap Take?

Swaps are processed on-chain, so timing depends on network conditions. Transactions on the Abelian chain need at least 3 block confirmations, which takes about 13 minutes on average, and can be faster or slower. If your swap has not arrived after 30 minutes, contact support.
