How to spot scams that pretend to be U9, and how to check through official channels.

Will Support Ever Ask for My Seed Phrase, Private Key, or Codes?
No. Official staff will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, email verification codes, full card number, or security code (CVV) for any reason. They will also never ask you to send funds to an address to "verify your account" or "unfreeze funds".
Common scams include posing as official staff and contacting you first, asking for sensitive information because of an "account problem" or to "unfreeze funds", and getting users to send money to a set address. If this happens, stop the conversation right away and check with official support through the in-app support chat in the Abelian app.
Privacy tip: When you send screenshots to support, cover any personal information that is not related to the issue, as well as your full card number, transaction records, and other sensitive details. Never post full account information in public groups or on social media.
