A few small things can make a big difference. Before you take your photos, run through this quick checklist:
- Take your photos in bright, even light, and avoid glare on the document.
- Make sure all four corners and every edge of the document are in the frame.
- Use a valid document that has not expired.
- Keep your face fully visible in the selfie, without a hat, sunglasses, or a mask.
- Check that the details on the document can be read in the selfie.
- Use your real name, exactly as it appears on your document.
